Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Introduction
The Service is owned and operated by PT Galah Maju Bersama, a limited liability company (Perseroan Perorangan) established under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia ("Chefpanion," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chefpanion website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Service Description
Chefpanion is an AI-powered service that converts cooking videos uploaded by you into structured, step-by-step recipes. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze the video content you submit and generate recipe cards including ingredients, measurements, instructions, and synchronized visual references.
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors. Chefpanion does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or reliability of any recipe generated by the Service.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload videos that you do not own or do not have the right to upload, including content that is restricted, private, or subject to third-party intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Upload non-cooking videos or content unrelated to food and recipes;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's underlying systems or AI models;
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the Service in a manner that sends excessive requests or burdens our infrastructure;
- Upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Acceptable Use provisions.
5. Credits and Payments
The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are virtual currency with no cash value and are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash except as required by applicable law.
The Service offers a Free plan and two paid subscription plans, Pro and Max, each granting a monthly allotment of credits (currently 10,000 for Pro and up to a 50,000-credit fair-use limit for Max) for use during the active billing period. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
All purchases are final. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase with your account details and the reason for the request. If a refund is approved, we will process it to your original payment method within a maximum of 30 working days from the date of approval.
We reserve the right to modify credit pricing, plans, and fair-use limits at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Service and will apply to future purchases.
6. User Content and Video Uploads
You are solely responsible for any video and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the licenses granted below.
By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to upload and process that content; (b) the content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party; (c) the content is free of malware, viruses, or other harmful components; and (d) you have obtained any consents or permissions required from individuals appearing in the video.
You grant Chefpanion a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited license to host, store, process, analyze, and use your User Content solely for the purpose of generating recipes and providing the Service to you. This license terminates when we delete your User Content from our systems, except for derivative AI-generated outputs which are governed by Section 7.
We reserve the right to refuse to process, or to remove from our systems, any User Content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law. We have no obligation to monitor User Content but may do so to protect the Service and our users.
7. Intellectual Property
You acknowledge that recipes generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence and are derived from User Content and other inputs. You do not acquire any ownership rights, copyright, or intellectual property interest in the AI-generated outputs.
Chefpanion does not claim ownership of your User Content. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the generated recipes for your personal, non-commercial cooking purposes.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service itself — including its design, code, trademarks, logos, and branding — remain the exclusive property of Chefpanion.
8. Food Safety and Allergy Disclaimer
Important: Read Carefully
The recipes generated by the Service are created by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or misidentifications regarding ingredients, measurements, cooking temperatures, times, and techniques. AI may misidentify allergens, confuse similar-looking ingredients, or omit critical safety steps.
You are solely responsible for verifying all recipe information before cooking or consuming any food prepared using a Chefpanion-generated recipe. Always double-check ingredients for allergens, confirm safe internal cooking temperatures, and use your own judgment and experience.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chefpanion expressly disclaims all liability for any adverse health effects, allergic reactions, foodborne illness, injuries, property damage, or any other harm arising from your use of or reliance on any recipe generated by the Service. You assume all risks associated with preparing and consuming food based on AI-generated recipes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chefpanion and its operators, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chefpanion and its operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) any harm caused by food prepared using a recipe generated through the Service.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion by you or termination by us, we will retain your data for a period of one (1) month to allow for account recovery or legal compliance, after which it will be permanently deleted from our active systems. Backups and logs may be retained for a longer period as required by our technical infrastructure or applicable law.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Both you and Chefpanion agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of the Service.
Class Action Waiver and Binding Individual Arbitration
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration. You waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, private attorney general actions, or representative proceedings of any kind. All arbitration proceedings shall be conducted on an individual basis only, and the arbitrator shall not have authority to conduct arbitration on a class or collective basis.
Before initiating arbitration, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally by providing written notice to the other party detailing the nature of the dispute and the desired resolution.
The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Each party shall bear its own costs in the arbitration, except that the arbitrator may award attorneys' fees and costs to the prevailing party as permitted by applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and/or by providing notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
